International Training camp

Welcome to Finland and Pajulahti Olympic and Paralympic Training Center, where the IBSA (International Blind Sports Association) Judo Open Worldwide Tournament for small countries is organized. After the tournament, also the first IBSA Judo International training camp will be organized.

Dear judo friends,

Welcome to Finland and Pajulahti Olympic and Paralympic Training Center, where the IBSA (International Blind Sports Association) Judo Open Worldwide Tournament for small countries is organized. After the tournament, also the first IBSA Judo International training camp will be organized.

The event offers an opportunity to participate and catch up for small countries in terms of judo and this is a good opportunity for all IBSA Judo countries to collaborate and learn from each other. The event also gives points for the Paralympic World Ranking List.

Tikkurila Judo Club and Pajulahti are responsible for the arrangements of the event, and together they are a strong player in international judo events. I thank both parties and the Finnish Paralympic Committee for the good cooperation. A big thanks also to all officials, referees and volunteers involved in the arrangements and IBSA for the trust in organizing an important event in Finland.

I wish all the athletes good luck and success and a good camp.

Esa Niemi , President Finnish Judo Association

About us: Tikkurilan Judokat

Tikkurilan Judokat is a judo club based in Eastern Vantaa, Finland. The club was founded in 1976 so we have almost half a century of experience in practicing and promoting judo in our area. Throughout the past decades the club has built it's identity as "an all-around judo club". At our club, everyone can easily find their proper training groups or courses, from small children up to the elderly, and from athletes to those who are interested in judo from a health and fitness perspective. While our main focus is on the education and training of young people, we still take pride in also providing opportunities for older people to join the world of martial arts. We also take pride in the long lasting tradition of providing opportunities to practice judo for people with special needs.
